Kresta Wilson | CEO/Speech-Language Pathologist | Hi, my name is Kresta! I am the owner and CEO of WPT and am also a speech-language pathologist. I am originally from western Kentucky but have called Lexington home since 1999. I graduated with my Master of Science in speech-language pathology from the University of Kentucky and immediately began working in early intervention. My special areas of interest are child language and feeding/oral motor therapy. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting my 3 kids in their various sports/activities. I love getting to work with so many wonderful children and families and am so blessed to be a part of their journey!
Jamie Crump | Patient Services Manager | Hi! My name is Jamie, and I am the Client Services Manager at WPT. I have two daughters and two dogs. I like outdoor adventures and silly puns. My favorite foods are anything that has been pickled.
Lea Harper | Administrative Director & Manager of HR & Quality Assurance | Hello! My name is Lea. I am from Central Kentucky and have been with WPT since 2016. I have held several positions during my time here and currently occupy the roles of Administrative Director and Manager of HR & Quality Assurance. I love the WPT team and am passionate about helping others! I have been an advocate my whole life, and being a part of this team allows me to continue advocacy for families and staff! I live here in Lexington with my husband and our fur child, Lily! When I am not at WPT, I enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors, live music, pottery, and spending time with loved ones.
April Satterly | Finance Manager | My name is April, and I'm the Finance Manager for Wilson Pediatric Therapy. I love seeing the kids come in excited for their therapy session, and I really enjoy it when they stop by my office to say hello. I try my best to help parents understand their insurance benefits and to get the most out of them to help their child. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and retail therapy (which isn't covered by any insurance)!
Nicole Hopper | Patient Advocate | I started this incredible journey with the Marketing team in September of 2021, and instantly felt right at home! My background is in Marketing and Franchise Development, with an Associates in Medical Administrative Management. I’m a patchwork of surprises because prior to that, I was a Performing Arts major at Eastern Kentucky University before switching to the healthcare field! My position at Wilson Pediatric Therapy is a beautiful blend of all things I love and stand for…creativity, faith, a positive mindset, and nurturing lasting relationships within our clinic and community. I’ve seen firsthand the resiliency and strength of children while watching my own daughter overcome pediatric cancer. I’m so blessed to be able to join in the vision of WPT to help kids reach for the stars and discover their inner hero!
Taylor Bays | Billing Specialist | Hello! My name is Taylor. I'm originally from northern Indiana, but I moved to Kentucky in 2013 to attend UK (Go Cats!) where I completed my Bachelor's degree and also met my now-husband, Ben. I have worked in the healthcare field full-time for almost four years, and I have worked one-on-one with kids part-time for three years. When I'm not at work, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, watching Marvel movies with Ben, playing board games with friends, listening to podcasts, and trying out new recipes. Ben and I have family in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. We don't get to see them often, but when we do, we love spending time with our seventeen nieces and nephews! I love my job here at WPT, especially when kiddos get to come visit us in the office!
Lillian Barry | Patient Support Specialist | Hi, I'm Lillian! I'm a Patient Support Specialist here at WPT. I am originally from Glasgow, KY, but I moved to Lexington to attend school at the University of Kentucky. I have three cats that I co-parent with my amazing roommate. I love hiking, talking about weird facts, and trying different kit-kats. I also love getting to work with all our amazing families and staff at WPT!
Katie Decker | Billing Specialist | Hi! I'm Katie! I've lived in and around Lexington for 10 years now. I love to read so it makes perfect sense that I met my husband, Cody, in a local bookstore. We still shop for books, but we also love going to concerts and try to see as many as we can each year. When I'm home I love to be in the kitchen trying new recipes. I have two dalmatians named Winnie and Dodger who love to play and cuddle. I love working at WPT! You won't find a better group of people to help your kiddos learn and grow!
Haley Barnes | Patient Support Specialist | Hi! My name is Haley and I'm a Patient Support Specialist. In my down time you can find me hanging out with my dog Rue, eating spicy food, and binge watching survivor!
Hope Damron | Marketing Coordinator | Hi! My name is Hope, and I am the Marketing Coordinator here at WPT. Two things I love about my job are being able to express my creativity and getting to see all the kiddos and hear about what they've learned! In my downtime, I love to be outdoors, hike and travel with my husband (we are trying to visit every USA National Park!), spend time with my family and friends, and create floral designs!
Occupational Therapists
Chelsea Newman | Occupational Therapist | My name is Chelsea and I have been working for Wilson Pediatric Therapy since 2018. I am an occupational therapist, and I am passionate about working with the pediatric population. I am driven to help children and adolescents improve their independence and increase their quality of life through finding meaning and success in daily occupational engagement. I earned my Master’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy From Eastern Kentucky University. I enjoy coffee, cooking, yoga, spending time with loved ones, and being outdoors.
Audrey Brown | Occupational Therapist | Hi! My name is Audrey, and I am an occupational therapist at Wilson Pediatric Therapy. I graduated with my degree in occupational therapy at Eastern Kentucky University. As an occupational therapist, I help kids grow independence and participate in their daily activities such as play. I love working with kids because they are so fun, creative, and insightful! In my free time I enjoy swimming, hiking, and reading.
Courtney Rivest | Occupational Therapist | My name is Courtney, and I am an Occupational Therapist here at WPT! I am originally from Massachusetts and graduated with my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College, as well as my Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from American International College. Working with the pediatric population has always been my passion, and I can't wait to see the kids and families I work with flourish! In my free time, I love to bake, hike, listen to country music, spend time with my dog, Chase, and cheer on Kentucky Men's Soccer!
Jenna Bernhard | Occupational Therapist | My name is Jenna, and I am an occupational therapist at WPT. I am originally from Chicago, but I graduated with my Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University- Dominguez Hills. I enjoy collaborating with family members and caregivers and am passionate about working with children to help them thrive in their most meaningful activities! Outside of work, I enjoy baking, exercising, trying new restaurants, cheering on Notre Dame football (Go Irish!), and relaxing at home with loved ones.
Physical Therapists
Morgan Rapson | Physical Therapist | My name is Morgan, and I am a physical therapist here at WPT! I love working with the pediatric population, and I have worked with children in some fashion for a number of years. I desire to help children learn how to move better so that they can accomplish their dreams and play with peers! I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Kentucky. I love dogs, being outside, and sports. You can find me cheering on the Kentucky Football team Saturdays in the fall! Go cats!
Allison Clarke | Physical Therapist | My name is Allison, and I am excited to join the Wilson Pediatric Team! Prior to working at Wilson, I worked with the adult population for 5 years. I recently had a little girl, which opened my eyes to the sweet world of pediatrics. Children are such a special gift, and I am excited to help them achieve their full potential through purposeful play. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In my free time I love to hike, travel, and try to make it down for a few Mississippi State sporting events each year. Hail State!
Speech-Language Pathologists
Meghan Baumgartner | Speech Language Pathologist | My name is Meghan! I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech Language Pathologist and am passionate about working with the pediatric population and helping children find and use their voice by developing their communication, social, play, and cognitive skills. I earned my Master's of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Indiana University and my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Western Kentucky University.
Molly McLaughlin | Speech Language Pathologist | My name is Molly! As a Speech Language Pathologist, I am most passionate about helping children discover their voice, improve upon their confidence and thus better emotionally and socially connect with the world around them. It’s most rewarding to empower and give parents the tools and knowledge to help their own child succeed. In addition, I help identify children who are Dyslexic, name it for what it is and then provide the tools they need to demonstrate their knowledge and increase their reading and writing skills. It is such a joy to be a part of. I earned my Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders from The University of Louisville and my Bachelors of Arts in English Literature and Teaching English as a Second Language from Lee University.
Sarah Masters | Speech Language Pathologist | My name is Sarah, and I am a speech language pathologist here at WPT! I am passionate about working with young children on their speech and language skills, and I love seeing children make progress in their skills and build their confidence. This profession is so rewarding. I earned my Master’s of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology, studying Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky. I am a Lexington native, I love UK basketball, being outdoors, reading, and playing with my kitten, Boots.
Isabel Navarro | Speech Language Pathologist | Hi, I’m Isabel, and I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist here at Wilson Pediatric. I love helping children find their voice through play, shared interests, and relationship-based therapy. I have a special passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and have experience working with children of all ability levels. I earned my Master of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona and my Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. I can’t wait to work with you and your family!
Hannah Waltmon | Speech Language Pathologist | My name is Hannah, and I am a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist here at WPT. I am passionate about helping children find their voices whether that be verbally, through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), or a combination of both. My favorite part about being an SLP is building meaningful relationships and watching a child’s confidence soar as they learn to better communicate and interact with the world around them. I earned both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky. Go Cats!
Jennifer Hamilton | Speech Language Pathologist | Hello! My name is Jennifer Hamilton, and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist. I’m so happy to be a member of the Wilson Pediatric Therapy team! I have always had a passion for working with children, and I am excited to help children and their families gain the tools they need to succeed in their speech, language, and communication goals. As a feeding therapist, I enjoy helping children increase their oral motor skills and making mealtimes enjoyable! I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I love spending time with my family, and my sweet dog, Nala.
Cognitive Clinicians
Shannon Smith | Learning Program Manager | Hi! I'm Shannon, and I am the Learning Program Manager at Wilson Pediatric Therapy! I have a Master of Arts in Literature with a Concentration in Literacy and Reading Instruction. I began my teaching career at the university level: for over ten years, I taught college reading courses at Eastern Kentucky University and also specialized in academic writing, research and college readiness. While at EKU, I directed a writing center that offered tutoring services and then later worked as a testing coordinator in the University of Kentucky Disability Resource Center. I am happy to bring my experiences to this position and have the wonderful opportunity to now work with kids of all ages. I have never been more fulfilled than I am here at Wilson Pediatric!
Morgan Bargo | Lead Cognitive Clinician | Hi, I'm Morgan! I am the Lead Cognitive Clinician here at WPT. I graduated from EKU with a Bachelor's in English and am currently pursuing a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in childhood/adolescence through Northcentral University. My favorite part of my job is seeing kiddos grow their confidence and learning abilities! In my free time, you can find me trying a new restaurant, hanging out with my family and friends, or at the dog park with my puppy, Honey!
Megan Elsea | Cognitive Clinician | Hi! I'm Megan, and I am so excited to be a cognitive clinician here at WPT! I graduated from UK with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and went on to receive my Masters of Arts in Teaching from UofL, but make no mistake, I bleed blue all the way! Before becoming a clinician I was a Spanish teacher for 7 years, and I am so excited to use my passion for teaching kiddos here at WPT! When I'm not working I love hanging with my husband, our little guy and our 2 pups.
Brian Wright | Cognitive Clinician | Hi! I’m Brian. Being at WPT is a dream come true. I’ve spent much of my time working with children, going all the way back to my teenage years as a church camp lifeguard. I’m also proud to serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, supporting abused or neglected children. I enjoy a good round of golf and spending time with our two dogs, Tank and Audrey.
Therapy Technicians
Belinda Cheng | Lead Therapy Technician | Hi! I’m Belinda Cheng, and I am the Lead Therapy Technician around here! I graduated with a dual-degree in psychology and kinesiology at the University of Kentucky in 2021. Currently, I’m in the BSOS to OTD program at Eastern Kentucky University in my pursuit towards becoming an OT. Occupational therapy is something I’m really passionate about, and I was so excited when I was asked to join WPTLC as a tech. I’m so lucky to learn from such an amazing team and be part of these awesome kiddos’ therapeutic journey! I can always look forward to seeing a tiny smile when I come in, and I absolutely love seeing their progress! In my free time, I enjoy running, playing fetch with my mini poodle, and playing board games with family and friends.
Kayla Savia | Therapy Technician | Hi! I am Kayla, and I am one of the therapy technicians here! I am currently a senior at the University of Kentucky majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in health promotion. After graduation, I plan to attend physical therapy school to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatric physical therapist. I love working as a tech here and being able to be a part of the kid’s therapy journey and seeing smiles on their faces. I am very thankful to be able to learn from the best therapists at WPTLC! When I am not at work or in class, you can find me spending time with family/friends, watching a good show, or doing something outside.
Morgan DeChene | Therapy Technician | Hi! I’m Morgan, a Therapy Technician here at Wilson Pediatric! I am currently a senior at the University of Kentucky studying Public Health and after graduation, I plan to pursue my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I love being a tech here at WPTLC, because not only do I get to expand my own knowledge and learn from amazing therapists, but I get to be a part of these kiddos therapy journeys and watch them reach their milestones, grow to their full potential, and see the biggest smiles on their faces. When I am not working or in class, you can find me spending time outside, working out, working with CASA as a volunteer/advocate, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends!
Lexie Glaser | Therapy Technician | Hi! I’m Lexie, and I work at WPT as a therapy technician. I graduated from BCTC with an Associate in Science and am attending EKU’s Occupational Therapy program in the fall! I plan to be a pediatric OT when I graduate. I love working with kids—it makes my heart sing! I absolutely adore being at Wilson and seeing the kiddos grow and progress with every session. In my free time, I enjoy watching Disney movies, playing with my 2 dogs, and being with family and friends.
Ruth VandenBerg | Therapy Technician | Hi! My name is Ruth, and I am in EKU's combined BSOS to OTD program. I love getting to work at Wilson's and see these kiddos and their families equipped to grow and reach their goals! I am so thankful that I get to learn from some of the best Occupational Therapists on my journey to become one. In my free time, I love to read, play card games and hit the pickle ball courts with my husband!
Piper Hancock | Therapy Technician | Hi! My name is Piper, and I am one of the therapy technicians here at Wilson Pediatrics! I am a student at the University of Kentucky studying Human Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I started as an intern at WPT last fall and am so excited to continue my journey here as a therapy tech. I love connecting with the kids as they grow and reach their goals. I have always known I wanted to work in pediatrics and am thankful for this opportunity to learn more about physical and occupational therapy. When I’m not at work or at school, you can find me on a run, playing pickleball, cuddled up with a good book, or spending time with friends!
Emma Kiernan | Therapy Technician | Hi! I’m Emma, and I am currently a sophomore at Transylvania University majoring in Health and Exercise Science on the Pre-Occupational Therapy track. I started at Wilson in August of 2023 as an intern, and I am so lucky so have the opportunity to continue my experience as a tech! I have always known I wanted to work in pediatrics, so getting to watch the smile on kids’ faces when they reach their therapy goals just reiterates that feeling. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, painting, going on walks or runs, and reading a good book!
Bailey Hodges | Therapy Technician | Hi! My name is Bailey Hodges, and I am currently a student at the University of Kentucky majoring in Human Health Sciences on the Pre- Occupational Therapy track. I am very excited to be apart of the WPTLC as a tech. I have a passion for working with kids and love seeing them progress so much each day! In my free time I like to read, watch movies, and enjoy time with my friends and family!
